Good Afternoon,

I have a 1997 Cherokee with 199,XXX miles on it. I was working on my A/C system the other day and noticed there is oil seeping out from between the head and block on the passenger side (or at least that what it looks like). It is about dead center on the block. The oil filter adapter o-rings were replaced about a year ago as was the valve cover gasket. I have done some searching and those were the common culprits but this seems to be. Seems to be come directly out of that seam.

What is this coming from? Is it the head? I attached a couple pictures. Circled areas are were it is the heaviest,

EDIT: I have cleaned it with degreaser twice now and it returns each time and about the same consistency.

Replace the head gasket and with that mileage, have the head resurfaced and a valve job done while it's off.

Mine leaks worse then that. Clean it off at every oil change and dont worry about it.
