Hi guys quick question, I recently noticed that my oil gauge is reading very high almost like the sending unit might be on it's way out. It will just stay pegged all the right to the right past the meter reading. Then other times it will work and read fine at normal oil readings. I'm guessing the sending unit might be going bad or maybe a week connection somewhere. Or could it be something else? Should I be fine even if the oil gauge is pegged even though I know my oil pressure is good. I just haven't had time to replace it yet. Thanks.

 

I would pull it and check the port in the sending unit also make sure that the port that it goes into as also clear.

 

Sometimes right after an oil change it will read a little crazy. Mine went out and I replaced it. Super easy but make sure to use OEM part.
