Oil pressure sending unit connector
In my recent, and potentially unfinished, repair adventure, I discovered that the oil pressure sending unit connector--the wiring part that connects to the Jeep itself--was broken at some point. The clip that holds it onto the oil pressure sending unit is just...gone.
I know I can get a brand new one and splice it in from RockAuto for about twenty bucks, but is this my only option?
If I went to a junkyard, is there a range of compatible years, or would it only be my year that's compatible [95 XJ, 4.0, automatic].
And, until I can figure this all out, what's the safest way to keep it all together?

91-96 should all be the same. That connector was used on all sorts of dodge/chysler/plymouth engines as well...Minivans going back to 1984. Should be easy to find.
I don't know if you can get a big zip tie around it, but that'd be a temporary fix. It won't hurt much if it falls off other than your gauge won't work.

Good to know. Thanks. I've got it kinda zip-tied together right now, which will hopefully hold until I can get in there and do something about it.
Guess it's time for me to learn how to splice wires properly. Or chicken out and beg a much more educated friend for help.
