my oil pressure sender has gone bad i think but i tried to take it of and it just spun a little with no movment its not leaking so i dont want to take out by the look of the sender before i touched it it looked like it was put on with a vicegrip and a hammer im not sure what to do since im sure if i take it to a shop im going to get stuck with some nasty bill that might not solve it

any suggestions?
