You also said that you have never seen a main bearing spin suddenly with no warning. I can assure you they can, no matter how "clean" your engine is inside. Nothing lasts forever. That would be one likely explanation of a sudden loss of pressure.
Another one would be oil pump, pickup tube, and/or screen. All these are entirely reasonable possibilities, and were mentioned by yourself, others, and myself in the postings. No sense in being a Monday-morning quarterback on your part and criticizing me for tossing out possibilities that turned out not to be the case after you finally fixed it.
I'm happy for you that your problem turned out to be relatively minor, as I said earlier. I know you don't like someone to be critical of your postings. The worst criticism is the one that is true. But you can't even take a compliment gracefully. Heck, you even argue with me when I agree with you.
I had read and re-read your "problem solved" post, trying to figure out your timeline. It could be interpreted two different ways. Maybe you knew what you were talking about, but other people weren't there on the scene. I finally decided you did Fram-STP-Fram. But that you originally got rid of the Fram because of the perceived problems with them. The way your post was constructed, you could just have easily been referrring to the STP not being good. The perceived Fram problems are exactly what I was referring to when I said that I wouldn't put a Fram on a lawnmower. They just are not good filters.
It would help if you would use more periods instead of your run-on sentences. There is also a handy thing built into your computer. It is called a spell-checker.

This oil pressure problem happened a month after your oil change. You yourself said you thought the pressure would rise, not drop if it was a filter problem.
