Oil Pressure and Not Starting
Ok so a few days ago my gauge started showing at 60+ oil pressure, and when I hit the gas it would go to 80. Did an oil change today since it was overdue, new filter and oil ofcourse, but a new oil this time since i did use a synthetic before but it seemed to cause more leaking. But after the oil change I stupidly left my lights on and had to jump it. Now it will turn over, the battery is good, but it wont start unless I give it gas. Even then, the jeep will die without me constantly givng it throttle, and the whole time it shows my oil preasure at about 80, and around 100 when at 2500rpms. So any ideas on whats wrong?

It sounds like your oil pressure sending unit is taking a dump. As for the battery have it charged and load tested. Sometimes if the battery is completely drained it won't charge properly by the alt alone.

Battery went tit's up in my old 96 GC I had. New battery and it wouldn't idle. I've had this happen with GM cars in the past that I have worked on and did the same trick. Drove the Jeep for a few miles at 45 or better and bang the TPS resets. Grand Prix's and others back in the day would lose memory if the battery was dead enough or unhooked long enough. I just figured my 96 GC was the same way. Apparently it was because I never had the issue again.

This part sounds like an IAC issue.

You probably bumped the oil pressure sending unit when you changed the filter. Does your gauge show pressure with the engine off but key at RUN?
