oil pressure gauge not work

oil pressure gauge not work
So i working on my jeep one day replacing the oil main seals on the block to the oil filter mount and i unplugged the sensor and now put a new one on and it worked fine, until one hell of a hott day it just stopped working???? what could the problem be?
