Latest jeep thing started yesterday
my oil pressure gauge on the dash reads 60 psi cold and pegs 80 psi going down the road
this all started yesterday
it never did this before, always read just above 40 going down the road, and just over 20 at idle
whats going on and how do i fix it?
i tried the dash reset trick and it didnt do anything?

The most common root cause of "high" oil pressure readings is a faulty oil pressure sending unit. It is located directly above your oil filter.
I'd replace it. It is a very common fail on the 4.0 engine. I recommend that you buy your oil pressure sending unit directly from Jeep for the best accuracy/reliability/mating with your factory gauge.

Easy to replace. Warm up engine a little. Unhook the wire. Use open ended wrench to loosen. Use fingers to unscrew the rest of the way. Reverse order to install. Don't over tighten it though.
