i just bought a 90 laredo and the oil pressure guage says its pegged over 80... is this normal? whats causing it? and whats the fix?

 

ughhh. you didnt search what so ever did you?

ill help you out anyway. i would venture to say your oil pressure sensor is bad. you can always test the motor with a pressure gauge.

but if you can, please try and search before you post.

its a really easy cheap hopefully its just the oil pressure system. Its an easy fix unplug unscrew and put new one in and its on the left side of the motor if you got the 4.0L
