Oil Pressure
Hi, im currently 15 years old and ill be 16 in 1 month and iv already got me a 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport, And i noticed on the gauges the oil pressure stays at 80 when we accelerate is that normal? and at idle it goes down to 40 is this normal for jeeps?

Hi and welcome to CF from Tj in NJ.The oil pressure gauge on Cherokee's are not too accurate, Mine says 40 at idle and 60-70 at 1500rpms and I have 220,000 miles on it.You should be good with that oil pressure ...Tj

Engine: 4.0 160k banks header dumping after the cat
X2 mine does the same thing. i wouldn't worry about it, as long as you have pressure, a lot of oil pressure is better than none at all. and as trekkerjim says they aren't to accurate
