Default oil press sensor housing

Ok once again I turn to all of u so far all the help I've gotten here has been right on the money so let's try again. On my 97 Cherokee 4.0 the oil pressure sensor screws in the a big bolt head looking thing so I just saw that I'm leakin oil from it and I was wondering if I should just try to tighten it or is there a seal or gasket that I light have to replace under it.

Leaking oil from the oil sender threads where it screws into the adapter or where the adapter screws into the block? Neither has a seal by the way. They're pipe threads and use a sealant.

Maybe try wrapping the treads in Teflon tape?

Remove oil sender. Remove adapter. Put sealant on threads of the adapter. I like Permatex 1B BTW. Reinstall adapter. Put same sealant on oil sender and reinstall it.

Pretty easy. For the oil pressure sender you need a 1 1/16 wrench or socket. Try to get your hands on a socket, you will save tons of time. I'm not sure of the size on housing bolt.
