I want to change the gaskets on both the oil pan and transmission sump pan but what is this? and how do i go about removing it?

Looks like your transmission dipstick tube. I can't tell you how to remove it though. Sorry.

there is a connection a little way up that tube, if im remembering right it should just pull out
ok i have not tried yet but thanks for yalls advice how hard is replacing the gaskets?
