Angry Oil pan gasket and rear main

So I’m doing my rear main and oil pan gasket on my 1996 stock keep Cherokee sport. When we took off the oil pan I got it out by lowering the car down while the oil pan was half way out which caused the oil pan to get bent by the axel tube. There are no holes so I’m just going to re-use it. But my trouble is that I cannot get the oil pan back in for the life of me. Please someone help me out

If all you need is about 1/4 - 1/2 inch at the bellhousing, you can put a jack under the tail shaft of the transmission, remove the two fasteners holding the transmission to the transmission mount, and lifting the back of the transmission up a few inches.

Have you disconnected the track bar. It let my axle droop just a bit more. And four hands is better than two. The rear and front have to be at just some crazy precise angle for it to go on. I just did mine last weekend. Fought it fir a good long time. Then got help and it took about 30 seconds.

What I ended up doing was I put the jack that comes with the car between axel tub and the Frame and separated them with the jack and disconnected the shocks from the bottom and it made plenty of clearance
