Driveshaft doesn't rotate fast enough to sling oil everywhere, esspecially not like he's describing. the differential sits right underneath the throttle body...about 20" down.
I have seen the whole backside of a truck completely soaked (everywhere from the differential back), all the way to the bottom side of the box. It might not be the problem, but it is such an easy thing to check. That is why I suggested taking a look at it.

Yeah, but the driveshaft wouldn't get oil on the inside of the hood. unless I'm missunderstanding what He's dealing with....pics maybe?

yeah that's very true, dont see how the driveshaft could be getting oil on top of the engine. But at this point....i'll look at anything. I'll try and get some pics up tommorow, maybe that will help for you all to get a better picture of the problem.

haha! hmm, I wonder if it could be the gasket around the distributor? The oil seems to be the thickest around the sending unit/oil filter/distributor area. But i've replaced everything around there except distributor gasket.

Sending unit could be cracked, and then the windage while driving down the road is spreading it everywhere. My '98 did this. I got underneath and saw oil on the block and pan, near to the oil filter adapter and filter, and sure enough it was the sending unit leaking like a sieve.

is it coming from the front seal and the fan is slinging it all over?

I had a similar problem. First my solution, I had pinched the oil pan gasket near the rear of the engine, into the oil pan. Not by much but what it did was this. I would run the engine and lay underneath, no oil leaks. Satisfied I would take it for a ride and when I got home it looked like someone thru oil all over the back of the engine/bell housing/and trans. I mean a lot of oil. I was stumped until I dropped the oil pan again and realized what I had done. While just sitting, the oil would splash up onto the pinched gasket inside the oil pan and simply drip down into the pan. When I drove the Jeep, the surge of oil against the back of the pan was enough for the oil to overflow and spill out the back. The fly wheel did the rest. Hope it helps!

Is the dipstick in the tube? Is the dipstick tube firm in the block? How much oil are we talking about? Is it literally dripping verywhere or is it just a light coating on everything? Are you sure it is oil could it be transmission fluid? Check your line to radiator on driverside bottom could be leaking and the fan could be pulling it up and causing it to spray everywhere. These are all just ideas, hope you find the problem.
