Angry Oil leak - NOT THE USUAL SUSPECTS!!!!

OK, so sorry to beat a dead horse on common XJ oil leaks!

Oil is leaking slowly from the bottom of the starter, then down to bottom of bellhousing.

It's not the oil filter adapter. It's not the distributor. It's not the oil-pressure sender. It's not the valve cover. RMS was done recently.

The only other place it could leak from is the RMS, right?

I'm stumped and I've had 2 whiskeys....

I hate to say this, but it could be one of 2 things. The camshaft end plug or the main oil gallery plug. It's entirely possible the oil gallery plug wasn't sealed when the motor was rebuilt and is seeping. Not what you wanted to hear, I know.

And mine is scotch. It helps the brain function sometimes.

Note sure about that, but could be, I guess. One thing that makes me fee like oil pan gasket is the most likely is that it does not seep at all when the jeep is parked, even when holding high revs and high oil pressure. Also didn't leak when driving slowly around the neighborhood. Only started after driving aggressively for a bit, when oil is sloshing around the pan. Who knows?

Yes, scotch. Oban is great, Ardbeg if you want to punish yourself.

Chivas Regal 12 yo for me. I've never had a hangover in the morning. Just a little foggy.

Clean all the oil off and check it everytime you park it.

Any chance it's the timing chain cover gasket, front of the oil pan,or front seal?

By the way. This is the only way to fly:
