I had the same problem last week. Guys on here had some good info. Cleaned up the oil pan and lower block with pressure washer. When I looked, I thought it was the main seal, but then found that there was oil above the oil pan. I found out it was the oil filter adapter/mount. Only 3 O-rings to replace once you get it off. Fixed me up and no leaks now. I bought the oil pan gasket and main seal anyway.....cause I know that will go soon too. Hope this helps. From reading this forum on leaks, you look at the valve cover, oil pan, main seal, and the oil filter adapter. These guys know their stuff.
