oil leak

Default oil leak

i have a leak coming out between the tranny and motor im geusing a seal has any one had to change this how hard is it to get at

Could be the oil pan gasket or the rear main seal. The oil pan is not too hard and the rear main is just a little tougher. I replaced both at the same time so I wouldn't have to do double work down the road. Here is a link that may help you out...Tj

Sure it is not the rear of your Valve cover gasket?

I had a leak from the oil filter adapter that bolts to the block. The oil will run from that location and appear as if it is a main seal of valve cover gasket. Clean the engine and check it out before you pull the pan. If that is it then all you need is an o ring kit from the dealer and a T-60 tork socket. May need to use a cheater bar to remove the bolt as it is very tight.

no i wish i would be that easy but its coming out between the tranny and the motor just gave the motor a good cleaning to pinpoint the leak the oil filter o ring is also leaking so im gonna change everything i hate oil leaks just spent a $100 on all the crap to fix the leaks so well see how it goes
