I bought the O ring kit from a dealership a few months back but have yet to replace. I cant seem to get a good hold on the Torx bit in the unit that I have to get the sending unit off. I have tried to do when engine is cold...I have tried when hot to help with the red loctite that Jeep used. It doesnt budge. I have tried to get it from the top and the Mcguyver combination of wrenches and cheater bars dont hold. I try it from the bottom and just can get the leverage.
So any suggestions or tricks anyone knows off? Its leaking enough that I want to get this fixed but cant seem to make it budge.

I used the L-style Torx set from O'reilly Auto. Set of 4-6 pcs for 10.00 Added a deep well socket that fit over the L-style Torx and 12" extension iirc, for leverage. And it worked. Your results may differ. Be sure extension, does not short across the starter.
