Oil Filter Adapter in FSM?

My oil filter adapter's leaking. It sets-up quite the stink of hot oil while driving and a smelly fume after shutdown. Enough already. I want to repair it but cannot find a procedure in my FSM. What's the procedure and are aftermarket gaskets/o-rings suitable?

Wont beable to get to it till tomorrow. Im at work right now. The guy I bought the engine from has a spare starter so Im gonna try that. I'll still be replacing the battery wires just in case.
