need to change the o-rings on my oil filter adapter '98 sport 4.0 and can't figure out what the bolt is...torx or allen? and what size?

also are steering box braces really needed if you ever plan on doing bigger tires...cause i want to start prepping my Jeep for the future lift and i want to get like the steering box brace and hd trac bar, mount, and frame strengthener, and new steering box spacer...but is this stuff necessary my buddy doesn't think it is

 

T-50 or T-60 Torx, can't remember the exact one.

Depends on the type of wheeling you plan on doing. Mild trails & dirt roads, probably not. Rocks, hell yes you should beef up the steering.

 

I love mud and hill climbs maybe occasional crawls onto big rocks but really no rock crawling but wouldn't it just be nicer for rigidity kind of like strut tower braces on ricers?

Any quality aftermarket bumper will have extended mounts that will serve as a steering box brace.
