Before anyone sez wow this guy is a alley mechanic try it yourself it will be easy.... I heard all the stories of the trouble of the adapter and decided to give it a shot yesterday. I decided that going at it from underneath was useless due to the starter and upper control arm being right in the way. Here is the way I did it I punched the t-60 bit out of a cheapo pep boys tool and j.b. welded the t-60 bit into the adapter the night before. I got up this morning slipped the boxed end of a 12mm wrench onto the t-60 bit from the top, slipped a jack handle(pipe) over the box wrench and pulled back. It made a couple crack noises and spun right out. I DID NOT reinstall with locktite, is this a problem down the road?
