checking codes is done by cycleing the ignition key on off on off on then count the check engine light flashes

I have one of those code reader thing a majigs, but check engine light is not on

that dont matter it will store soft /intermitent code even if light no on steady

Ok, so this is the lil thing I used and it said no codes, i scrolled down through out the arrows and everything came back ready, like oxygen thing, sparkplugs something or another, main something all were ready, some were not avail, like a/c, blah blah,

That's an OBD2 Code reader, just for your etification... lol (i wish i remembered what movie that was from.) But definatley keep us updated on the finds and good luck, i am sure all of us here, at least one person can solve it. lol.

Well I know thats what that thing a majig is lol its for when ur car here in cali wont pass smog cuz ur check engine light comes on they use that to clear the code and run down to smog it real fast lol! Just joking! Thats for emmissions! On my way now to on off on off on my purple, but Im thinking jeepin dan is on to something..... Possible over fill of tranny fluid!
