I am in the process of mounting a 87-89 style factory tire carrier on my 96 and something is not quite right. All the brackets are mounted where they belong, the bumper is mounted as high as I can get it but the top bracket is 1/2" too high. The top bracket is mounted exactly where it belongs based on my research and as far as I can tell it can't go any lower. If any body out there has one can you let me know if I did something wrong. The only thing I can think of, if every thing is mounted right, is that the top is bent a little.
