As I stated earlier I can start my truck from India or the Moon for that matter, if I can get a wireless signal, but I don't think that really applies to Cherokees.

The 97-98 fob part # is 56008968 or 56008968AB, and the FCC code is GQ43VT10, right?
one from a similar aged ZJ, Durango, ect wont work?
Just curious as i could use a new one and i may go to the junk yard tomorrow and see if i can dig one up.

yes indeed. I've already asked the dealership (who of course said its 59 dollars to program it)
stupid to charge so much when its a few button presses of the DRB tool, but i guess those are the brakes.

I think I will get some new remotes and program them to my jeep and yes the 2 battery,s are new in the remote. I only have the one remote . hope that will fix it .

I know, it's just that any time I hear about the factory units, it's like you have to be right up against the sensor to get it to work. Totally defeats the purpose.
