so i found out through my local dealer that most parts for my 87 cherokee are no longer available. ive heard that aftermarket parts dont work so well for jeeps and you could still have the same problem after replacing the part.
i need a TPS and a IAC soon.
what brands have you guys worked with, what works?

In my experience other brands work fine especially with the looser parameters of the renix system. I got a tps at rockauto.com for 30 bucks and it works perfectly. I would go there, they have the best prices I've seen.

I did my TPS 2 summers ago and got it at NAPA for $40ish (broke down on the highway 3 hours from home). Cant remember the exact price, but its worked fine since. There are a FEW aftermarket parts that I hear people say are no good, like the CPS, but thats the only thing I can think of.
