I have the HD from quadratec got 1.5 lift from leaf springs that were almost backwards and love them I can hit a railroad track doing 40 and nothing. I am not running any special hanger or U-Joints all stock HD hanger bolts and leaf springs. Basically the HD springs from Quadratec are exactly the same as the Up-Country package from 1995 with 1 inch lift from the factory. SO they were meant to be on a Jeep and run with stock shocks for offroading haven't run into any problem yet.

I just installed the HD rear leaf springs from 4wheel parts and 1.5" shackles from Rocky Road and have 3" of lift in the rear now with 2" spacers up front. I have the Forward Slant a little now but not too bad. I also still have the GY Wrangler 235's on, but it really doesn't look bad at all... Going to get new front coils when it's time for new rubber and level it out. I also had to make a 1" transfer case drop kit, 4 degree axle shims, and replaced all the rear drive shaft u joints...

I have the Old Man Emu HD springs, and they sit at least 2" high. I've had them on for six months and they still haven't settled much. I'm running 245/75/16s so it has a nice stance, but it will probably look a little goofy with 235's.
