Default OEM Fender Flares

Hey guys, about a year ago, some guy bumped into my driver side fender flare. Its factory painted the color of the truck. Anyway, It never lined up right since then and I can't get it to slip into the mounting bracket. So its always loose and doesn't sit right. Is there a secret to gettin em into the bracket? Because Im down to the point where I'm thinkin sheet metal screws will do the trick.......What do y'all think?

I had a similar problem after an encounter with a tree on a tight trail. I had to get a new inner bracket for the flare. You could try to losen your current one up allign the flare and re-tighten it but it may come loose again. I got tired of this so have sence removed and trimmed my fenders.
