OEM control arms
Any opinions on which ones to get off RockAuto?
For 97 SE
Plan on buying all four. If there are decent aftermarket not drastically different in cost I would be interested.
Thanks,

If you dont plan on doing a long arm kit, then my suggestion would be to spend the little extra cash to get a set of quality aftermarket control arms. You can get a nice set of control arms for just a few dollars more, and not have to worry about bending or breaking them like the stock ones.

Reason I ask is I intend on a CAD kit and this jeep is a DD with occasional sand, snow and light trail a few times a year. My goal is ride quality so I am factoring that cost in and since I will only end up about 4-4.5 ( at 3.5 now) from what I am reading stock arms are ok. I just cant decide mainly between Moog or Omix-ada.
Thanks for the fast input. Pulling the trigger soon on about 1k in repairs and upgrade parts. So many options.

I've seen 6.5" lifts work just fine with factory arms.
And if your insisting on staying with stock, then I would say Moog.
I think they make quality parts.

That just doesn't make sense. The arms are only so long, the further you push the axle down with lift springs the further back the axle is pulled.

Point is, that 4.5" on stock arms shouldn't be a problem. I did suggest a quality set of aftermarket arms though. And I stand by that. Especially for the minimal added cost.

Gets him to and from work 40 miles each way daily, and doesnt eat up tires. Seems like a win to me. Seen it off road too. It's far from Ideal, but it works.
