I just purchased a 1999 Cherokee XJ as a project. It runs reasonably well but must have been a fleet vehicle. It is rear-wheel drive, automation, 4.0L, and is all manual. By that, I mean roll-up windows, manual door locks (no key fob), manual seats, and (get this) no interior lighting. No overhead dome light. It has some issues but what 25-year-old doesn't, It's the build that I'm interested in finding out about. Has anyone run into an XJ like this? That's it for now. Could have been a Gov't vehicle, like Fish and Game, Forestry, etc. Those were pretty bare bones.
