Default Odd noise in reverse.

First, my son was born on the 2nd, so I haven't had time to do a proper inspection yet.

That said, I was hoping that thru my description, you could help narrow down my search for when I do get some free time.

My ride is a '95 postal cherokee.

When I put the truck in reverse, I hear a grinding noise, similar to a disk dragging on a rotor.

I can't pin-point it to a specific wheel.

It seems to be worse when backing uphill or while under load.

I do know that the rear springs are fine, and I'm not running bigger tires. Everything is stock.

Also, the shocks are good.

I recently bled the brakes due to replacing the metal brake line for the rear drum brakes, but did it by the numbers.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts & suggestions!

sounds like your tranny is slipping in reverse.

Thanks for the reply rideordie.

The noise is coming from the rear, not the middle of the truck.

Also, there is no loss of power in reverse, wouldn't a bad tranny cause some performance issues?

Could it be the rear end, or does it sound more like a brake issue?
