I don't know the answers, but I would say that those brass nipples used in the write up do not carry loads well. What ever you do, make sure everything is solidly mounted (both ends and in the middle or at any change in direction). The hardest part will not be putting the pieces together but finding a place to put all the stuff. I would recommend this style clamp http://www.kleen-ritecorp.com/c-326-cush-a-clamp.aspx and unistrut if you can make it work (Fastenal usually keeps a fair selection on hand).

Let us know where you end up putting the tank.

On my bronco I had a york, the big one, with a 2.5 gallon under the truck and then I had an 11 gallon that I would hook up inline. I had a pressure switch set at 90/120 (ish)

It would run an impact gun pretty well, usually when changing a tire you wouldn't have to wait at all (8 lug nuts).

Drilling or using an air cutoff sucked. It would spin for a little bit then you would wait, spin for a bit then wait.

Sometimes I would set my throttle up at about 2500 rpm and that would help a lot but running any high speed tool I would run out of air.

Now when we hooked another truck with a york and another 2.5 gallon tank that kicked *** on the trail it was almost like having a 80 gallon tank the two yorks would fill it so quickly.

I kept my a/c and added a york, pictures here; (mostly un-tested)

I don't know where I am going to put a tank yet but I want to do a pneumatic shifter for my 231 doubler box so I will need a tank somewhere...
