I need to replace my upstream o 2 sensor is there only 1 on a 99 4.0?

Looking at a wiring diagram for your year/model it shows an upstream and a downstream oxygen sensor.

My 99 with the 4.0L has two O2 sensors.

I think it also depends on cali emissions but not sure when that went into production...my 2000 had more than my 98

you should have 2... if its a stright 6 there should be one on the exhaust pipe relitively close to the headders (upstream)... the other should be near or on the cat (downstream)
