Default Nss switch problem!

So I've searched and searched and searched I got the general idea and I got the nss almost all the way off about 3/4 but no matter what I did I could not get the last bit slid off the shaft ive pried rocked the switch back and forth pb blasted it you name it ive given it a shot so my question is? Does anyone have any tricks or tips or have you guys ran into something similar on your rigs... I'd really appreciate the help I've looked everywhere and asked local people but nobody has an answer I have brand new one ready to go on... Thanx in advanced guys

I used a big screwdriver to pry it off the shaft. If it's really stuck, use two, one on each side. I've also heard of others who sucessfully used the claw end of a hammer, and one who used a pry bar. If it's really stuck on there, I'd give the pry bar a shot, as the middle has a V-groove that should get in behind it nicely.

Push it back on. Clean the end of the shaft with fine steel wool.

If you have a new one already there is no worry about breaking it so pry bar sounds good.
