My 88' was having starting issues and turn signal problems. I cleaned my nss last year and fixed starting problem. It began not starting again, acting like a dead battery this time. Total drain in start position, so I adjusted the nss. Problem solved. Starts in park, neutral and reverse lights work. Why did this resolve my turn signal issue? Is that considered to be a bad ground? Thankful it worked but, not understanding the reason. FM technology is the best I came up with. Any insight greatly appreciated.
NSS = Neutral Safety Switch. You don't have one, Spunkster, it prevents the engine from starting in anything other than Park or Neutral on automatic transmissions.
There is no reason for your NSS affecting your turn indicators. Has to be coincidence. The only common link is that I believe that on an '88, the reverse lights and blinkers are on the same fuse.
