Default NSS on AX15?

Maybe I should wait till I get home to see for myself and save face, but would there be a NSS on the AX15? I'm not sure I understand what all the NSS does yet, but I'm not sure it is necessary with a manual trans.

on a manual, depending on year, there is either a wire under the drivers side dash that you unplug, or there is a fuse that you pull so it will start in any gear.
at least that's how it is on most tj's. i'm sure xj's are the same idea.

check your manual, it should be in there as it's a feature for off roading.

If there is a switch, the PO of my xj bypassed it or something, cause I can start in any gear. I think you could try starting in any gear to find out if you have one.

Are you talking about the clutch safety switch?

from what I have found the 97+ have a clutch start switch but if you look where the wire plugs into the clutch pedal switch there is a open plug taped to the harness, I wanna say its yellow, if you unplug the clutch switch and plug this open plug into the clutch switch and it bypasses the switch without effecting anything else like cruise control. I read about this in my owners manual on my 99. its meant for offroading and repair purposes but I did it months ago and prefer it to be the way it is as long as no one else drives it.
from what I have gathered the change is just like everything else
97+ up has the safety switch the 96- dont.
