Default NP231 case bolts

I've got a bit of a random question that appears to be impossible to answer on the interwebs. I'm pulling apart my transfer case to install a SYE, and in the process of removing those half dozen or so bolts that hold the two halves of the case together (15mm socket), I noticed that about 3 of the bolts use a washer and the other 4 or so don't. Normally I'd expect these all to be those flanged bolts you see used everywhere, but these were not. You can see the side-by-side below as well as how they looked when still screwed into the case.

I assumed the transfer case had never been apart before, but now I'm not so sure. Are these the original style factory bolts? Can anyone snap a quick picture or have a look at their NP231? This is on a '98 if that makes a difference.
