NP231 Replacement.
So last night...my xfer case decided to quit working period...or so I believe. Anyways I'm gonna replace it because its having severe 4wd popout issues that just keep getting worse. I know a dude who has a ton of XJ stuff that he's trying to get rid off and has an NP231 that he's willing to let go for $40. Its out of a 91 4.0 Auto and is 21 spline. My Jeep is a 91 4.0 5spd but I don't know the spline count on my NP231...my question is: will the NP231 from the 91 auto bolt right up to my 91 5spd? I don't know my current spline count but I'd assume they'd be the same

Its not a question of the mounts being the same...i'd be really retarded for NP231s to have different mounts depending on whether the Jeep is auto or manual. I'm like 99% sure the mounts are the same. my question is whether the spline counts are different between auto and manual NP231s(not the case, but the trans that they're mounted to)
