Default Now what the heck did I do?!?!?

Hi gang. In the middle of my new rebuild project. It's a 97xj aw4 4wd. In the process of my upgrading I swapped out the totally trashed manual doors for some power window/lock ones off 99. Of course that then created the need to do a total wire harness swap.

All of this brings me to the following. There was a huge diameter wire that tapped the positive side of the battery via the fuse/relay box under the hood. This thing had an inline fuse connector on it that in my case was stuffed with beaded copper wire. It then terminated someplace inside the cab. In my change over I yanked this out thinking it was for some audio component and I am not sure what it was for; dumb huh? Anyway, now I also cannot crank the starter. I didn't think to connect these and was starting to go down the shift position sensor route next when I came across this photo on a different post that shows the same wire (in blue near the red arrow)

Thanks!

Not sure about starting issue, but that wire is definitely for car audio.

I would have to agree.. I have the same thing for my amp. Maybe in the process of yanking it out you dislodged something important.

do you by any chance have a second huge wire off of the + terminal? if that was the only one then it was your starter cable. the fact it had an inline fuse would be odd for this application though. that size wire is only used for a few things from the pos side of the battery both of which require a lot of current draw 1. your starter 2. an amp for your sound system.

Figured this out. It was an amp cable. I took a few pictures that captured what it was for before I yanked it (forgot I took them). Was able to start her up .... The nps may be going bad.
