and now she won't start.....
I sure could use a little help on this one....here's what I did:
I have a 92xj 4.0 2wd with 176000...today I pulled it onto the street, sprayed the engine w/ Gunk degreaser original, followed all the directions by covering the electronics (battery, computer, fuse box, distributor) with plastic bags and then rinsed and repeated. After this was finished I started her up, at first a little rougher idle than normal but smoothed out within seconds and ran just as well as before.
I pulled her back into the driveway which is at nose up incline of about 10 degrees, turned it off and left her alone for a while.
I came back out about 4 hours later, checked the driveway underneath which showed no oil or any other fluid dripping and tried to start my jeep. It turns over all day long, but does not seem to actually catch and start. Nothing seems unplugged or loose and all the lights/bells/whistles work like they did before...
One possiblity: I know I am low on gas, gas light is on, but the gas gauge has never worked properly, since I parked on an incline could it have something to do being low on gas? I'm goin to the store tomorrow to fill my gas can up and try it ....until then
what do ya'll think? this is my daily driver so I'm a little worried for monday!
Thanks for reading my long ramblin post and have a good night!

Check for spark and fuel. The easiest way is to spray a little starting fluid into the intake, then crank the engine over. If it starts and dies right away, you have a fuel problem. If nothing happens, you have a spark problem.

I dealt with a similar problem a while back. Check the distributor cap and clean the inside. A little bit of moisture in there would cause a problem
