Not Sure if I have AAL's or not!?
Hey Everybody,
I bought my XJ recently from a guy who told me he had installed AAL's because he towed a heavy(ish) camper. I'm looking into lift kits and I'm not sure how to tell if there are AAL's installed or not, if there are, I figured I can just get some shackles to get a little bit more lift out of the rear to match up w/ the front. If anybody can tell me how to tell I appreciate it, thanks!

You can generally tell if they are AAL's cause the second leaf will look newer.
If you want to get lift the right way and not worry about it no for several years just get new packs! If you call RoughCountry and talk to Jason he will give you a pretty decent quote on some new ones.
One problem you may want to check into is new shocks he may not have bought the longer ones and if you plan to ever wheel you will need longer shocks or they won't stretch enough limiting you flex or worse BREAK!
