Head gasket leaking oil.....
My head gasket is leaking oil between the block and head all along the lifter pockets down the side of the block(im positive its not the VC gasket). It started when i added resoline oil treatment to my oil to help with the lifter tap. Also to top it off my RMS leak got worse also. So this is why im always a firm believer NOT to use a oil additive/cleaner on high milage engine. Seafoam included.........But i figured i would give it a try Although it did help quite the lifters a bit it wasnt worth having to deal with my heep marking its territory everwhere i go!!! Just my .02 and warning for those thinking about trying it....Dont!!

Yea, I did the same thing. Added some seafoam to the crankcase to clean things out. Afterword read on here about the warnings of leaks and drained it after about 40 miles. That was the shortest oil change interval I have ever done .
Hoepfully I got to it in time before my gaskets were eaten away.....
Did it ever help your lifter tap?

Yeah i guess the sludge in your engine was keeping it from making noise and leaking. LOL
I would still use Seafoam though becuase it is better on your vehicle to get rid of the sludge and fix the leaks.
On the other hand if the sludge is keeping your engine running then its days or numbered anyway so... that would be your choice. I have put it twice in my old 87 with 190k on the clock and yeah the rear main started leaking a lil more but i knew i needed to change it anyway. I just want a clean engine again.
