91 cherokee limited I6-4.0
When I put the key in the start position my fuel pump isnt kicking on and i dont get the check engine light as well as no spark when i turn the key.
When I wiggle things under the dash i can hear the fuel pump kick on, the check engine light turns on and i can start her up just fine. once shes running she runs smooth and i have no problems with anything at all.
Is this a security or anti theft issue and how can i completely eliminate the security or anti theft system permanently.

 

Sounds kind of like the same issue I had on my 92 xj. Check the 2 plugs to the ignition switch and if they are good then I would replace the ignition switch...$10 part and you never know it could be the original part

 

i put a new switch in it already and im still getting the same problems. then put a crank position sensor in it and had the same problems AND it was running terrible if i did get it to start. put the old one back in and it was running smooth again.
im really thinking this is a security issue but im not quite sure and i dont know how to fix it if it is a security issue.
