Not starting

Not starting
I have a 97 Jeep Cherokee standard. I fixed most of the problems but when I go to start it, it does nothing. No click to signify that the starter is engaging so could the starter be the problem?

you need a test light, have someone turn the key to start while you probe the small wire on the starter ....if the test light illuminates, then the starter is bad, if no light...check fuses and relay
