Well I have a 94 4.0 Cherokee XJ, In the state of washington you need your idle to be below a 1.2, the past two times I took my emissions it was at a 4.1, and then a 1.94.
I still need to get my idle lower as it is too high right now.
We cleaned the IAC, and Throttle body. Does anybody have any other ideas on how to get my cherokee to pass emissions.
I got the rig nice and hot before I took it to emissions, and they keep saying that I may need to get it hotter.

Please help! Any input is awesome.

New O2 sensor?

 

I had trouble passing smog, mine was at 3.9. Replaced the o2 censor, plugs and wires, and the gas cap, and passed without a problem.

 

I'll give the 02 sensor a shot, and check the plug wires and what not. Maybe clean the IAC and throttle body again and see what happens. Just tired of paying all the money everytime.
