noone knows new caps on old?

Default noone knows new caps on old?

posted asking if anyone knew if the 97-01 bumpercaps and possibly the flares would just bolt on to a 84-96 without mods, but got no answer....i figured somebody HAD to have dont this before

Engine: 4.0 rebuilt w/ bored TB, banks header, upgraded ignition, 3 row rad, high flow h2o pump, 180* t-stat

well the newer bumper caps extend back to the flares so youll have to trim the front fenders and flares even with the headlights and in the back they extend over the rockers to the flares so youll have to remove the body trim and trim the rear flares. pick up a set a make em' work....be a trend setter.

thanks, i was thinking of even using the flares off a 97-01, always loved the look of it, and the rear caps will help cover up the two random hole i have in thre rear quarter

even better! i think the newer flares mount a little differently but it should work. and yes the rear cap will cover those holes. when you go to get the caps take the metal strip off the rear quarter panel that holds part of the rear bumper cap, you'll need it.

metal strip? is it like a sticky metal strip? just curious

ill get a pic tommorrow, and theyre only one the passenger side....dont really see a use for them to be there either
