Noisy A/c compressor even after A/c is turned off.
Hi folks. I'm new to the HVAC game so please bare with me.
1999 4door sport 2wd.
I've recently noticed more noise coming from my A/C compressor. It sounds like a fan is blowing and it's not the mechanical one. I know this is normal when the clutch for the compressor engages however, the sound continues even when the A/c is turned off. I've looked at the pulley with the a/c both on and off and it is engaging normally. The noise goes away after I shut the vehicle off and let it rest for 5-10 minutes.
What can I do to remedy this? Where do I start?
