Hey guys,

99 Jeep Cheroke 4.0L, 4x4, 6Cyl, Auto. No exhaust mods all stock. No rust...

I've noticed this just as temperatures dropped in my neck of the woods. On my way to work in the mornings I'm noticing that if my RPM's get around 3K I get a peculiar noise. One I've not heard before.

It's difficult to describe, but it sounds almost like little vacuum leaks/blows in unison with the RPM's. Again this only happens at RPM's above 2.5K and goes away after the vehicle downshifts.

I won't lead anymore into what I think it is, but I was hoping someone could lend some insight for me.
