no start in park
I'm a new cherokee owner (it's a 98).I've had it for about 3 weeks and love it! Now encountering my first glitch.
With the shifter in park the key turns all the way to start and all the dash lights go out,but will not turn over, and goes to run position everything comes back on, I shift into nuetral and it starts just fine. What could be the cause,maybe a fuseable link?or NSS?

thanks, I searched and checked out how to clean it sounds like it may be just the ticket. The weather has been "funny" here, warm and rainy one day then snowin an blowin the next.I think it probably just got condesation in it and froze up.
Didn't think it was a fuseable link cause it still started in nuetral.

I think the nss should ground the starter relay in both neutral and park. In other words, it's intended to to the some thing, so I doubt there is a link to the link. Ha, Ha! (boy, I amuse myself!). Speaking of links;
