I've got an '01 with 4.0. Went out today to go to store and it would not start. It was turning over bud would not start. It finally started with some sputtering and I gave it some gas and it seemed okay. After about a minute it stalled. It had some pretty bad stumbling. After that it would not start again. I kept trying and it would start for a couple of second then fumble and stall. Fuel pressure seems fine. Battery is good. Any ideas?

I saw some info on here about crank shaft sensor. Obviously it is near the crank shaft, but what side? Thanks.

 

It was a crankshaft sensor.

 

Those things do seem to cause a lot of problems

 

yes they do - been there, had that changed.
