Hello all I'm a new member here, I was driving my 98 Cherokee a few days back and it had a really hard shift and then cut off all power and would not start back up. It would crank and crank but never start. I had a friend pull me home and I started trying to figure it out. I figured it was the cps so I replaced that but no luck. It also displayed a CEL for p0505. The jeep has had issues in the past with a cylinder 2 misfire after the vehicle has gotten to temp. I checked the power going to the injector from the harness with a node light and it was not flashing. But the jeep seemed to fix its self on that one. I'm curious if the two are related, I'm not to sure what would cause the hard shift and no start. That sounds like the TPS and the Cps both went out. Any input would be appreciated.
